With a swipe to the right, the rest is history. After a week or so of texting, Vik asked Jamie to meet in person, but she was going out of town that weekend. If you're not familiar with online dating, not locking in a real date can end the connection before it ever started. But not with Vik and Jamie. They kept in touch and rescheduled for a picnic date at Schenley Park the following week. Vik came prepared with not one but two chilled white wines, not knowing which kind Jamie preferred, a bag full of delicious snacks, and citronella candles! That date felt different than any other date we have been on. It was an instant connection and we both knew we had found someone special.
