Arenal Springs Resort and Spa
Please use the block code while booking for a discounted room rate. We plan to stay at Arenal Springs Resort from December 9th to December 16th. We welcome our guests to stay a few extra days if your schedule permits, so we can spend more time with our favorite people.
There are volcanic hot springs that pass through the resort with tons of things to do in the area. Please feel free to book any other hotel or resort as there are plenty of options close by.
Flights
There are two major airports in Costa Rica : Liberia (LIR) and San Jose (SJO). While both the airports are 2 hours 45 minutes from the Arenal Springs Resort, we recommend to book the flights to and from Liberia airport.
Liberia is a smaller airport so getting in and out is easier. San Jose is the capital city so traffic can be unpredictable.
Car Rentals
Both Liberia and San Jose airports have car rental options. It's important to note that they all insist on getting local insurance coverage, even if you have international car rental coverage via your insurance carrier/credit card company.
The only way they will accept your international coverage is if you print and bring a hard copy of a letter showing the coverage. The link below has more information:
